I think I needed some glitz after my camping trip. I have realized that I am more of a hotel kind of girl than a tent kind of girl. My trip was very fun though it was a big family reunion for my step grandma’s 90th birthday and yes she was camping too. She stayed in an RV but still she’s a trooper I don’t know that I will want to camp when I’m 90.

I took my 2 favorite pieces from the Paper Couture and G.L.A.M. Couture collections put them in an outfit together today. This fur coat from the Victorian Club outift by Paper Couture is so lush and gorgeous it’s definately my favorite of all their fabulous new pieces.

Next are the shorts and belt from the Cowl Neck and Sequin outfit from G.L.A.M. I love these shorts and the fact that they come with tights or without is a nice touch. I think what really makes the shorts though is the wonderful belt that is on the pants layer. This makes it nice so that you can put it over all the pants that you have on the underwear layer so it’s very re wearable.

I figured I couldn’t run around in just my fur coat no matter how much I wanted to so I put on the Hoshi top from Culture Vulture I really like the soft lines and the pretty colors on this top. Just to give a little contrast I added the bad influence leather piped corset that I picked up at the latest sale. I like the little bit of white peeking out from under the top.

I missed the grand opening of Mercury Couture by Wilhelmena Whitfield, so I went to check that out today and found this great pearl feathered crown. This is so detailed and beautiful I think I’ll be buying more of her hats. This necklace is the pastel chunky necklace from Microphage and while it’s very bold I think it works with this outfit because I'm not wearing alot of other color. You can just barely seem my purple paillette earrings from Paper Couture peeking out from under my hair.

I love love love these fabulous new flats from Veschi, Alla is so good with her prims that they give the perfect illusion of those twisted sandals that are all over right now. They are dual color change and she has put like 100 color (not an exact number..) in them so they will match every outfit.

My hair is Fallon from Hairapy and this one isn’t on sale but she has lots others that are on sale so now is a good time to check out the shop if you haven't been in yet.  I went with the Vogue skin in Green Glitter because I love this shade of green eyeshadow.

I’m glad to be home and I hope to have some more posts up this week now that I’m not planning any out of town trips. Also we are working on the next event just trying hard to coordinate everyone’s schedule. I’ll keep you posted!

I know usually I am the crazy one but today I was feeling a little more subdued. I think its this beautiful top from the Blenda outfit by Barerose. This is something I would wearing in real life and I like how there is prim collar lace and prim sleeves. It’s even a little sheer so you can wear a darker shirt underneath to show through just a bit. I chose to wear the Trixie stripe halter in nightfall from Celestial Studios because well I don’t have a good reason except I love these halters and wear them under everything now.

My pants are the Cali Striped Pants from Last Call and I am not sure how Ginny managed to line up the prim pattern so well with the striped pants pattern but even with me having to adjust them to a little smaller (I’m very short and she’s very tall) they still look perfect. Also the belt is wonderful and sits just right your hips.

I picked up these shoes at the 4^th of July sale from Tart. They are the black studded sandals and I wish she made more shoes. I decided to do a simple necklace because of the lace collar on the shirt (I know don’t faint I used jewelry restraint see it can be done). This little ribbon choker was on sale at Amaretto the other weekend for only 5L!! I think that sale is over with and it’s gone now but I hope you went over and picked yourself up one.

On my right arm I have on the gold chain and resin bangles from Miam Miam, now as you know I don’t usually wear alot of gold but I couldn’t resist this bracelet it is so pretty. On my left hand I have on my trusty flexi bangles from Caroline Apollo in black. There really is a nice trend towards cameos lately and these cameo earrings with silver and black beads from second mirage are a really nice example. I think my favorite part about all the cameos is that I haven't bought one with the same picture in it yet. They are all pretty unique.

I’m wearing the Day Lily hair from Calla and this is probably one of my favorite hairs. I think it really flatters my face and the headband is a nice touch. My skin is Excess-Overdose from the Deviant Nation Vogue skin like by Celestial Studios for Last Call. These have super shiny lips and eyes and I think they make any outfit look just a little bit more fashionable.

This outfit all started with this amazing bubble skirt from the schwank outfit from Veschi by Alla Ruff. Alla has a new store in a cute new mall. I’ll put the link below you should check it out they have some great designers there. I adore this skirt I think the shape is great! it comes in a highwaisted version or this one. I wanted to use the lower waisted version today to show off this gothic rose top from the gothic rose wedding dress by Sparkle Skye of Allure.

This is actually a beautiful gothic wedding gown (can be just a lovely formal too) and I love this top it looks so lush and soft. I also put on the stockings from this set. You know I usually prefer tights to stockings but I couldn’t resist these.  Instead of having the usual top on them they have a pretty pattern of flowers and a very slight texturing on the stocking part. I hope that someday Sparkle decides to release her stockings separate because in almost every outfit she includes a pair of lovely stockings to match.

I put the free leotard from Pixeldolls underneath it and tinted it a red to match the top. I think I’ll be using this leotard alot because of the pretty neckline and the fact that it’s easily tintable. If you haven’t picked up the pixeldolls freebies yet you must! There’s tons of great stuff in there.

Any day I can wear my Black Python boots from Celestial Studios is a good day in my book. I think If I had to give away all my shoes and could only keep one pair this would be the pair.

ETD dropped some of her new hairs and textures on the group the other day and since then Alayna II in Blonde has been on my head. I love the new textures so much they are pretty and this style is really soft and pretty too. I wanted a little something extra for the outfit so I added the Melodic Atrocity Headband in black from Violet Voltaire (yes our very own Violet). I think this headband is adorable with its little lace trim.

My necklace is the Aurora thin black velvet cameo choker from Alienbear Gupte. I really like the little design on the cameo and she had quite a few to choose from. I like the new cameo trend that’s going on in jewelry lately I think its a classic look. These earrings I found in a folder labelled “Earthtones Grand Opening Gifts” and they are called Gypsy Tassel Earrings. I really like the big hoops and the long tassels so thank you to Lucas for giving away such a great pair of earrings!

My bracelet on my right hand is from the thorns of love set by Sparkle Skye of Allure, I showed a close up of the flowers they are so pretty and delicate. On my left hand I’m wearing my new favorite silver flexi bangles from Caroline Apollo.

I went with the discontinued Deviant Nation Vogue G-String skin because I love the red eye makeup. I hope you were able to pick one up at the clearance sale a few weeks ago.

It is with more than a little pride and excitement that I am coming to you as the first ever male participant AND winner of the Closet Crisis Fashion Event. I had a fantastic time, and now that the bar has been set I'd like to see if any other guys out there are brave enough to step on the runway.

 

Van has a naughty body! The skin is "Dante" in pale, shaved, with eyeliner. My hair is called "Dare" in Red Sea and I'm wearing "Gabriel's Eyes" in Light Blue, all by Naughty Designs. In my opinion, Naughty rules the world of men's skin and hair; they are far and away the best I've seen.

 

My outfit started with the great pork pie hat. I recently saw "Pretty in Pink" for the first time, and I thought to myself, if Ducky had just had a little sex appeal, Molly Ringwald wouldn't have gone for that cardboard joker at the end. That idea lead to this "punk rock prom" look.  Both the hat and pants come from a cool period outfit called "Rudy" by VR Phlux. I love the high-waisted plaid pants and the pork pie hat speaks for itself.

 

The vest, t-shirt combo is called "Best Man" from Garbage. There are lots of nice, saturated colors with this pack.

 

The black tie was re-sized and moved to better fit the vest, and comes from the "Adulterer" suit by (say it, you know who) Casa del Shai. I wore this suit so much when I first bought it that I wore it out. It was fun to include a little piece of it to make this outfit.

 

The shoes...just look at these shoes. When it comes to footwear, the guys don't get much -  especially compared to the choices the ladies have heaped on them - but when I wear these white leather shoes from Redgrave I don't care any more. They are perfect, they kill me, they go with everything, I'm going to get a pair for my actual feet right now!

 

Ok, the tattoos. I see a lot of tattoos out there that are pretty bad, art imitates life I guess, and I was turned off by the whole idea until I was shown this "Asian Theme" by Canimal. I own two other bitchin' styles and I hope they make more soon. The color and detail is outstanding.

 

The piercings came as a set from DEEKS, and I think they're nicely understated.

 

I'd like to thank my sweetie, Candy Lemmon, for helping me edit my attachments. She can do in two minutes what takes me half an hour, thanks babe!

 

Speaking of pretty girls, all of the ladies were telling me how their guys change their clothes once a month and never wear any of the cool stuff they're given. What's up guys? Afraid to look cool? Crack open your inventory and try something on!

7-17 Event Recap

Whew!! I should have known our 2nd event went too smoothly haha. This post took a little longer because email didn’t want to let Vi send me the shots of all the contestants. Thank goodness you guys are a patient bunch. We also had a tiny delay in the beginning and then our guest judge had to leave a little early but no matter how chaotic it got everyone seemed to have fun. Thank you to Alla for helping us judge!

And let me say this was so hard to judge, let me explain how we judge. We all try to rate the outfits as we go and then each of us picks 3 people, then we compare lists and usually end up with about 8–9 people then from that list we pick 3. Then we make you guys do the hard part and vote on the winner.

We had quite a few spectators too so please if you are too shy to compete I will respect your wishes (mostly, I might gently encourage you to walk though because its fun!) if you just want to come watch. We really do have a great time and everyone is so funny. 

Now the important news! Our 3 finalists were: Moire Georgette, Paisley Jannings and Van King. Everyone looked great and Van was actually our first guy to ever compete and he did a great job! So great in fact that the crowd voted him our WINNER!

Congratulations to you Van and I hope you inspire other men to come to the events. He will also be a guest judge at our next event and his post should be up right after this one.

Unfortunately I don’t have a post ready right now. I’m working on it when I can, but I won’t be able to log on as often and work on the blog as much. My boyfriend’s grandmother is coming home sometime this week. She has been in and out of hospitals and physical rehabilitation facilities for about 10 months now (things have just snowballed in terms of her health and every time we get her to where she can almost walk, something else happens). We’re just waiting for her doctor to release her from the hospital so we can take her home. My boyfriend and I are going to be the primary caregivers, and until we get a routine going, things will be a little hectic around here. Thankfully, we have the help of his parents and hopefully soon some respite care. This is new territory for me as I don’t have any kids yet or any experience in caregiving. Before she went into the hospital, I cooked for her and did little things like errands and cleaning, but she basically took care of herself and just needed someone to be around.

 

For now, we’re getting the house prepared and making sure we have everything we need for her (impossible to do because we always seem to forget something). My head’s spinning and I’m a bit frazzled, so I apologize if I wasn’t on top of things for our event on Sunday (I’ll make sure to screw my brain back into my head for the next one). We found out on Friday that she’s coming home, and things have been going nonstop since then. I know that so many people have it a billion times worse, and I am in such awe of their strength. I’m not trying to complain; I’m just letting you all know why I won’t be online or posting for a while. I wish you all the best and will miss all the gorgeous new releases . So, that’s that, and hopefully I’ll see you all soon.

Today’s outfit started with this Yellow Lacey Greta blouse from Nylon Outfitters. I love the color of this shirt, and have noticed that I’ve been wearing a lot more color lately…especially this bright green. I love the lace detail on this shirt, and since it’s white I decided to wear these white capri’s from Last Call’s Cecilia outfit.  These capri’s have great prim cuffs with adorable little flexi bows.

 

Since the capri’s have a black belt, I searched through my inventory for some basic black shoes, and found these Classic black flats from Indie Rainbow…sadly, the last time I went to find something at Indie’s store, it was empty L (although I read on one of Hethr’s post that he’s back with a new name and new designs!)

 

I really wanted to keep this look casual and summery, so for hair I chose the Spring Enchantress hair that Celestial Studios and Last Call put out together. This hair is no longer available, but I know there are plenty of styles out there that would work with this shirt. (I did modify the hair a bit…I took off some of the cute little flowers so that it looked like I just had a little hair band on.)

 

 I don’t normally wear a lot of jewelry in SL, and this was no exception.  I matched my May Necklace in silver/green crystal from Miriel. For earrings, I chose these Tri Hoop earrings that were group freebies for the Celestial Studios group members. The bracelets are something I made for myself.  And finally, of course since I was wearing green, I chose my honey/kiwi skin from Lovey’s Boutique.

It’s been a while since I have subjected treated you to a pink outfit. You can thank this adorable puffball jacket from Royal blue for today’s outfit. This jacket is super cute and all the prims work well together, of course because the sleeves are prims you will get your arm poking out a little when you do extreme poses (see above) but we all have to suffer for our fashion sometimes. 

 I put the pink plaid shirt from Indie under this. This is no longer available but if you haven't checked out the new Indie’s House of Flesh you should there are lot’s more cute things there now. I still wasn't happy showing off so much skin so I then added the top from the Marzipan outfit from Pixeldolls. The new stuff at Pixeldolls is not only super cute, but most of the dresses come on the underpants layer as well.

I put on the Lucie skirt from Pixeldolls because i really like the little bit of texture n the skirt and of course it has bows so how can I resist. Finally I added my hot pink tights from Blaze. I wonder if he plans on releasing new colors of tights because these are so goreous I want them in every color under the sun (mostly blue *crossing fingers* please make blue ones)

Diversity hair is having a big sale so I picked up this Abby hair and it has these wonderful big color changing bows. My earrings are a group freebie from Canimal called Love Me, I just checked and as of today it’s still available in past group notices so you should definitely pick up a pair. I actually wish I had this heart and arrow charm necklace from EMJ in real like. It is so fun and yet still delicate. I put on the Lulu shoes from Shiny Things because of the cute little bows on them.

Oh how I love bangles… Earthtones made a new big fat checkered one that is color changeable and I will try to refrain from using it in every outfit but it will be hard.  On my left hand I have on the Skyscraper bangle in pink from Cailyn this bangle is probably in my top 5 of all my bangles. I just love the shape of it.

I love when I wear super pink stuff because then I get to wear my vogue skin with fuchsia lipstick. I am wearing the glitter fuchsia because it’s a little softer than the darker eye versions.

I have to say on a sidenote I am taking away my own shopping privileges for a few days. Lately between all the sales and new releases my inventory is huge mess. I need to look at what I have and make some nice outfits of that before I start clogging it back up again. We’ll see how long that lasts….

I started with the Beach Bohem Tunic from Sand Shack Surf Couture. The tunics come in so many gorgeous color combos. It was hard to choose just one to start with as I wanted to wear them all, but I went with the color combo Hills. I love the subtle shades with the pop of the dark teal. I’m wearing the Dark Distressed Jeans from the Micha Outfit from Last Call. I love how Last Call has been giving two options for pant leg attachments – the smoothe and the slouchy. I love the look of structured jackets with flowy babydolls, and put on the Shorty Jacket from the Mayra Outfit also from Last Call.

 

I’m so happy to see more flats in SL. Now if only there were more pointy-toed flats and kitten heels. The Delia Flats in Teal from Sand Shack Surf Couture are so cute and come in ton of colors and even prints. I really love the natural fabric textures. My necklace is the Bound Bolo w/ Brooch in Antique Gold from Last Call. I love how the brooch has an antiquey feel. The bolo is actually more of a khaki color, but in my pictures it came out a little more greenish. So, just letting you know in case you wonder. My bracelets are the Tendenza Floreale Bracelet in Maroon from Ame True. I love the color combos in these bracelets. They’re so pretty, and the flower print adds extra interest to the bracelet.

 

My hair is Sea Nymph in Abyss from ETD. I really love how Elika’s hairstyles have such an incredibly natural look to them. That little chunk of hair that was missed when the ponytail was swept over the shoulder is one of those little details that make the overall hairstyle very natural. My skin is the Charlize Skin in Medium from Karamia. Yes, I got the fatpack, lol. I couldn’t help myself. I adore the bronzy-peachy glowy goodness of this skin. The makeup is very neutral, but makes such an impact.

I wanted to start off today’s outfit with this fun floaty skirt from Zagoskin Haute Couture. On the surface it looks like a perfectly respectable black skirt with a lovely belt. But underneath she’s hidden an adorable flowery slip. This is such a cute detail that shows every so slightly when you move around. I have noticed this on a  few of her skirts and I love the idea!

My top is the Modern Ornate Blazer in Teal from Oh What a Neat Boutique. This jacket is so detailed and beautiful I really like how she did the trim. I needed a little extra color so I added the Catia bodice in Goldenrod from Last Call.

These Jackie shoes are some of my first sculpted prim shoes and I really like how they look from the side. They are simple but have very nice lines and I’m sure they are going to become a staple for me. I wanted some big gold earrings to match the belt so I put on the nouveau filigree hoops from Junk. I chose the signature necklace from Lassitude and Ennui because not only was it  free but it is very unique looking. On my left hand I’m wearing the Paisley bangles from Juicy and on my right arm the Citrus bracelet stack from Frustrated Inc.  I think the colors in both of these set off the jacket very nicely.

I really like the Jade hair from Kin Keiko, but it does have alpha bangs so I had to take off my beloved eyelashes. It’s a pretty big occasion for me to remove them so that should tell you how much I like it. I’m wearing one of the discontinued Spring skins from Celestial Studios called Equinox. I really like how she is doing the seasonal skins, probably because I change my makeup daily.

One very exciting new thing is my eyes! Right after I posted about finding the Sunlit eyes from Miriels someone sent me a message letting me know that they had purchased a hazel very similar to what I wanted from Miriel. So a big thank you to Mionette for mentioning them to me and a big thank you to Miriel for making them a little bigger and selling me them!  She said they are just called “Custom Hazel (big)” and I don’t thinks he has them for sale in her shop formally right now. But she was very accommodating and I’m sure you would just have to IM her if you are interested.

Time for another event! Once again we’ve asked our previous winner Alla Ruff to guest judge with us. We had such a great time with Dakota and we loved getting another persons perspective on the fashions.

Just like last time bring your notecards and your lovely selves. Then when you walk the runway just tell us a little about what inspired the outfit and we’ll have your card given out so that people can purchase your great finds for themselves. We will decide on 3 finalists and then leave it up to you the audience to vote for their favorite.

I was rummaging through my inventory and rediscovered the Muse Dress in Yellow from Canimal. I love the paisley pattern on this and the blue & yellow color combo. Over it, I’m wearing the Tintable Scooped Sweater from tres blah. My pants are the Linen Pants from the Marie-Helene Outfit from Last Call. I love all the buckled tabs. For me, linen screams summer. I’m really drawn to the texture and airy feel of linen. I love that these pants have a more of a structured look which balances the casualness of linen.  

 

My shoes are the Sculpted Wedges from Celestial Studios. I usually don’t wear shoes this high (they’re almost as tall as me, lol), but with the pants, they were perfect. I can always use a little help in the height department. I love the texturing on the shoes. My bracelet is the Flat Wood Bracelet in Puau Shell Natural from EARTHTONES Boutique. I love the shell texture. I think abalone shells are just gorgeous. It’s amazing to me how beautiful nature can be with its gorgeous color combos, varying textures, and interesting shapes. My earrings, also from EARTHTONES, are the Boho Figured Wood Earrings. I love the shape and the polished shine of the wood.

 

My hair is Tyra in Smoke from ETD. This style has the same feel to me as the Bonita II hair. I guess the only way I could describe it is casually elegant. I think it can go casual or a little dressy. My skin is the Vogue Skin in Amber (Summer -3) Light Freckles from Celestial Studios.

I think somehow today’s outfit morphed into an urban cowgirl look. It all started at the BOGO 4^th of July sale at Tart. I saw the skirt in the Autumn outfit and I love it!! It’s so hard to find really well done linden mesh skirts and I think this rates pretty high on my list of favorites now. She has done a great job with the bottom texturing and on making the belts slant just a little to cut down on the big bottom effect.

I wanted a top that was just as fun and decided on the giraffe lace trim cami from Second Wave Fashion. This top comes on all 3 layers and was super duper ridiculously cheap at 25L. I just can’t tell you how much I love her tops. Over this I put on my cranberry cardigan from Tres Blah. I can’t remember if I’ve blogged this before but it’s so beautiful. Actually its exactly what I need for my rl work since they keep the A/C at 65 or so.

I also got my shoes on sale, I went to the half off shoe sale at Digital Dragon Designs. I’ve actually been meaning to get these but nothing like a good sale to get me over there faster. My necklace is the Kailena necklace from Muse. This comes in quite a few color combos and seems to match almost any outfit.

Earthtones released about a million pieces of beautiful wood jewelry recently and these boho big loop earrings in cherry wood are my favorites. Of course I have on some big bangles, the set on my left hand is the flea market bracelet from Cake. This is a huge stack with lots of patterns and colors but somehow they all work perfectly together. On my right arm I have on the Turchese d’argento bracelet from ame true. This is another set with great colors.

My skin is the Deviant Nation Vogue skin Celestial– Eternal and I love how the purples play off my new sunlit eyes from Miriel.

 I think the final piece that brought the outfit together is the Cowgirl in bleached from Celestial Studios. I love the detailing on the hat and how the hair swings around your head.

I started with the School Marm Top in Sam from Fashionably Dead. I love all the detailing on this particularly the ruffled stripes and the tiny buttons. Adorable! I love that the bottom part is unbuttoned which allowed me to wear the Trixie Dot Halter in Lemonade from Celestial Studios underneath the top. I’m wearing the Lucas Pants in Nautical from Savvy? The fit on these pants is just amazing. I really love the shading and wrinkling, and the button flaps are so cute!

 

I really didn’t think that one of my favorite shoes could get any better, but it did. The MaryJane Flats in Patent – Urban from boing fromage are a remake of the beloved MaryJane Flats in Patent. You get a motherload of color options. There are bright colors, muted colors, deep rich colors, and your standard black and brown. I went with the yellow base and the straps in custard. It’s scripted so you don’t have a ton of extra shoes in your inventory which is always a plus. My bracelets are the Brazil Bracelets in Blue/Bluebery/Green from artilleri. I love the muted colors in this bracelet and the subtle wood texture. 

 

My hair is Naomi in Smoke from ETD. Plain and simple, I adore this hair. My skin is the Sandflower Skin in Medium from Karamia. Not only does she make gorgeous clothes, but gorgeous skins, too! I love how pouty the lips look on these skins, and the airbrushed look of the makeup makes it look so soft with a satin finish.

I know you are probably a little surprised, I have changed my hair color a tiny bit with this Rexxie hair in Gold Star from Curious Kitties. I had to have this hair. Something about all the little pieces and the long bangs I think is so adorable. They don’t really have a blonde texture though so I chose this one because it’s still lighter.

My eyes are also new, as you can see above that is my real eye color and below is the Sunlit Tree (big) eyes i just got from Miriel. I have been searching for a color close to my own since I started sl. Most are too brown, too green ,too gold, too red or too small. This isn’t the exact shade but I think it is pretty similar with the greens and yellows. I will probably stick with these for a  bit because they are so bright and luminous. if anyone ever sees a pair of eyes in my rl eye color please let me know. The best way I know how to describe the color is pondwater. That doesn't sound flattering haha but they change color from darker to lighter and that’s what it reminds me of.

I was given a link to a new shop called DEKA and there along with some other cute items I found this top in the Primavera outfit. It has a really classic shape and the color is pretty unique. It just so happened that the jacket from the Winey outfit from Barerose went really well with this top. This set includes a few different jacket colors ( like most of her stuff) and i really like how its closed together in the middle with just a little zipper. My skirt is the casual skirt/short from Oh What a Neat Boutique. While I'm not a huge fan of shorts I am a huge fan of cute casual skirts and this one has wonderful texturing. It looks very soft and comfy and if you do prefer skirts you just take off the prim and you have a nice pair of shorts as well.

Both my bangles are from Culture Vulture the ones on the left are the apple juice Bakelite bangles and on the right are the tart Bakelite bangles. She has lots of cute bangles and you can never have too many of them! I put on my Bee Mine Necklace from Juicy just for fun. Finally I added the bubble earrings from Miriel in black and tinted the gems green.

Shoes were a little harder but after much searching I decided on the overstated maryjane in fedora from Paper Couture. My skin is Drama Queen – Trash from the Deviant Nation Vogue skins. I really like the green eyeshadow and how the lips are nude with just a slight tint of color.

I know I don’t wear babydolls very often and I’m not sure why. I think it’s that I try to put together as much of mixed up outfit as I can usually. This time I made an exception because I love this Soho Blueberry dress from CKS…. so much! I like the collar, the color and especially the sheer babydoll portion. It just feels so fun and bouncy. I know it’s hard to take photos of alpha things in sl but this really does come off as floaty and not quite so obviously primmy in sl. Blame my photo taking skills and not the outfit.

I added my favorite stardoll leggings from Celestial Studios, I think I mostly just love how bright white they are. Sometimes it’s hard to keep things that white and still have detailing. Finally I added my blue disk sandals from Tete a Pied, these are also of a simple design but do not look simple on. They are elegant and just a little bit retro and are a nice fit with the dress.

My necklace is the Colour change beaded pendant necklace from Cailyn Miller. This has a great color change script for both the pendant and the beads so you can have endless combinations. You can just barely see my big Sequin earrings from Junk, these are the kind of earrings I see in rl and wish I could wear. Of course in sl they don’t make that annoying jangly noise or get caught up in my hair. I put on my Lulu bracelets and turned them blue. If you were a member of the Celestial Studios group last December or so you should have a pair of these in your inventory, they are probably one of my very favorite group freebies ever.

I wanted to wear the Krystal hair in French Vanilla from Sparkle Skye of Allure because I think it fits the fun theme of the outfit. I like the wild side pony and because I kept the outfit fairly simple it isn’t overpowering it. I have on another Deviant Nation skin (you are shocked I know), this time I’m wearing Celestial– Ethereal and it has gorgeous blue eyeshadow.

I hope everyone had a nice 4^th and that you are staying cool it’s about 100 degrees here today and we don’t have very good a/c in the office. My next outfit might be a bikini just to try and convince myself I’m staying out of the heat.

This outift all started with the Tied Sweater from Paper Street Soap Co. I saw a girl wearing it in a hat shop and I had to find out where she got it. I love the prim part of the collar; I think it sits really nicely on the shoulders. Sometimes when I start an outfit I have one idea in my head and it just completely turns around on me. I started out trying to make this into a nice pants outfit with the sweater but nothing was working. I guess I was in the mood for a dressier outfit, because the Fifi skirt from Material Squirrel seemed perfect to me. There are a few skirts from Material Squirrel that are great separates, they can be mixed with countless other tops to make your own personalized ball gown. Once I found the skirt it was pretty easy to to find a top to go under the sweater. This top from the Roslin outfit by Savvy? is very simple and elegant, with just enough detailing on the buttons to make it stand out.

I have to have some color so the Purple Peacock earrings from Microphage really pop. These earrings are so pretty and the texture is very well done. My necklace is the gothic lolita necklace ( Black) from Red Ruin. I’m sure I’ve worn this a few times and I’m sure I’ll wear it a few more. It’s kind of hard to see my bracelets but on my left hand is the white pearl tripled from Rona Robertson of Bloom. I never run out of reasons to buy pearl bracelets. I bought this one because I like how they lay on your arm and aren’t all lined up.  On my right hand I”m wearing the . Callia bangle from Cailyn Miller of Cailyns in gunmetal and opal. I found these shoes hiding in my inventory, I can’t actually remember if I’ve worn them since I bought them but I am very happy I found them again. They are the Charmed Heels from Tickled Pink. Store name aside they have a great wedge on the back of the them and some pretty little spherical detailing on the front.

I went with the Gwen hair from ETD because I feel like it is still fun without taking away any of the elegance from the outfit. The Deviant Nation skin I have on is called Excess – Overdose and has beautiful shiny lips and eyes.

I started with the Fleur de Lis Skirt from Relika. I love the volume of the skirt, and the embroidered detail at the hem is so pretty. I love the look of the Blouse from the Rivoli Outfit from Last Call, and I felt it fit perfectly with this skirt. It really accentuates the waste and it’s perfect for layering. I wanted a little pop of color, so I went with the Robyn Slip-Top in Vermilion from Savvy? I just love the richness of the orange color. And do I even need to say how much I love the whole Robyn outfit? Jackets and knee-length skirts in amazing colors. Love it!

 

My shoes are the Silk Wrapped Shank Heels in Ash from Paper Couture. I really wish there were more d’Orsay shoes in sl because I love them! The shape is just so beautiful. I love the wrapped silk texture on these. I have finally found a chance to wear the Elle Orchid Necklace in Ivory from Muse. I think this necklace is so incredibly gorgeous. It’s amazing to me how delicate it looks, and the texturing makes it look so real. I’m also wearing the Claris Pearl Diamond Bracelet from Muse. This bracelet is simple, but so elegant. The diamonds give the bracelet a little extra sparkle and interest.
