I think I went on stripe overload today, but I couldn't resist the Itaparica ( would love to know where this name came from) pants from Persona. These pants have amazing shading (check out my butt!!!!) and the leg prims match perfectly. The light gray ones are my very favorite but she has them in a few different shades.  Luckily they also come on the underpants layer so I was able to add the silk and hoop belt from an outfit from G.L.A.M. I think this belt is fabulous and I find myself adding it to a lot of pants that are on the upants layer.

Now you know me I’m the crazy girl who thought a zebra shirt would go nicely under a zebra cardigan. In that same sense I think hat this career funk striped top from Veschi goes perfectly with the stripey pants I have on. I love the contrast of the thicker darker stripes in the shirt. Over this I have on the short coat viridian from Kurotsubaki. Sometimes when people make prim coats they cover up too much so I don’t like to wear them because I can’t layer anything underneath. Well this one is perfect with the little slit up the side it makes it a perfect way to showcase a top underneath.

A few weeks ago in the Fuse group we got a free ring called Bloom. It’s so pretty! I’m sorry if you missed it I’m not sure if it’s still out at the shop. Another great jewelry freebie I have on is the Love Letter necklace from Coquette, I got this free around Valentines Day *Not sure where yet*. This is the most adorable little locket that looks like a letter but opens to the side and holds 2 photos. I didn’t see it in the main store so I don’t think it’s available for sale.

On my right arm I have on the flat wood bracelet (puau shell natural) from Earthtones and on my left the apple juice bakelite bangles from Culture Vulture. I’m also wearing the wonderful beaded Hoop earrings from Yummy which match pretty much any outfit you put on.I picked up the sky colored classic stacks from Shiny Things at the group sale she had a couple weeks ago. I was having such a hard time deciding on a color but now I’m really happy I picked this one I love this shade of blue.

Last week Starley released new Winter skins and well I’ll admit I may have squeaked when I saw them. Especially #2 if you haven’t noticed most of my favorite skins are dark eye liner with nude lips and especially with blue eyeshadow. I this this could be my very best perfect makeup ever! I love love *gushes more* it. I also love this hair from Celestial Studios called Whitney. Of course I always loove a cute headband but I think the style is really fun retro modern and if I ever master back combing I’m going to wear my hair this way.

This was one of those outfits that started from the waist down then from the waist up. I took the skirt from the Floral Dress in Blue from Indie and put on the Cameo Belt in Blue over it. Since the skirt is part of a dress and obviously wouldn’t have a waistband, the belt makes the skirt seem like a separate piece. The print and the colors are so pretty and make me impatient for spring. These belts are awesome, but I just wish they came in every color imaginable. They come in every layer so they come in handy when you take apart dresses and such. I did tint the belt just a smidge to an off-white color so the cameo matched the shoes and necklace. The MaryGeo Pumps in Cream from Shiny Things came next as I have been waiting for a chance to wear these shoes. I love the diagonal straps and the thicker heel. (In the pic of the back of the outfit, the shoes look discolored, but they’re not, they’re a gorgeous cream color. I think the sun moved on me and I forgot to set it back to sunrise, so I’m really sorry for that.) These remind me of these shoes I saw in rl (don’t really remember where), but they were green with a hint of blue with a cream strap and a soft pointed toe. These shoes definitely fill that desire for those rl shoes. I love the brownish band at the hem of the skirt because it made the skirt more interesting, but it took some time to find a top to go with the skirt that didn’t look too cutesy or super feminine. I chose the top from the Dolores Dress in Chocolate from bossa nova because I love the neckline and the shading is superb. Plus, it was mod so I tinted it to a warmer brown to match the band in the skirt. The original color was obviously a chocolate color, like a milk chocolate.

 

The necklace I’m wearing is the Tear Drop Chain Necklace from Swallowtail Designs. I love the jewelry from that store, and can’t wait for more new stuff. I really like the asymmetry of the necklace and the shape of the pearly beads. My ring is the Wood Ring in Cherry Stud from Earthtones Boutique. I love wood jewelry because the grain always has an interesting pattern. I particularly like the mix of wood tones in this ring.

 

My hair is the Slow Jamz 2007 hair in Black from Hiccup. I love the name, but I love the bangs even more. I need a haircut soon, so maybe I’ll go for a version of these bangs. This hair has a really sweet feel, but with a little quirkiness. I tinted the band to match the necklace; it was originally silver. My skin is the Vogue Skin in Amber (Fall – 3) from Celestial Studios. Love the lip color and the gloss, of course. And I didn’t pick 20 lip glosses for the Amazon thingie, it was 15. And, yes, I love them all. I didn’t know there was so much stuff on Amazon. (Note to Hethr & Toneless: my birthday => giant sock monkey )

Another outfit from around the start of November. I love a good military-style jacket or coat so I started this outfit off with the jacket from Paper Couture's Folded Flag outfit. This set was from their Fall 2006 line but is fortunately still available on onrez (http://shop.onrez.com/item/387309) so this well cut jacket is still available if you missed the original release. As a major advocate of the system skirt I love the use of it here to extend the tails of the jacket. I decided to contrast the slightly masculine look of the jacket I paired it with rolled docker shorts in khaki from Elephant Outfitters (I have these shorts in every colour and love them to bits), knee-high socks and sleek classic style of pump. The socks and shoes are both by Fallingwater Cellardoor, however the shoes, Pump(kin)s, were a Halloween freebie and are no longer available in the store or update group. But don't fret as the shoe is for sale in other colours and makes a great wardrobe staple. The look continues in a preppy direction with the addition of the Carolynn Ruffled Shirt from Last Call (soon to be retired but expect to see it in yard sales across the grid if you miss out).

I wear glasses full-time in real life so it's not too unusual for me to don them in the virtual world (even though they're only an accessory). My favourite pair are the Danielle glasses from INSOLENCE. They're a simple and modern frame for the fashion forward vision impaired. I'm often reaching for the double strand of beads from Kitty's Rampage - the necklace is a great length and tintable so it's easy to work into any outfit. I used more colour-change jewelry for my wrist - elka Lehane can do no wrong by me and I'm so glad she bought out a re-textured version of one of my favourite bangles in SL. Plastic heart-shape bangles may not be considered very mature by everyone but I find myself using them in many different styles of outfit, especially now you can click to change the individual colours of all 3 bangles.

It's pretty much impossible for me to resist a good freckled skin, Launa Fauna put a lot of thought and work into the freckles on her Chai skins and I love her for it. The freckles are light and natural and don't distort nastily on the nose as some other freckled skins tend to. The gold tones in the Alloy make-up are perfect for looking glam without seeming over-done. The texture and shape of the Secret wig from <The Abyss> look so insanely sleek. I love the depth and glow in the texturing as well as the careful attention to detail in the prim-work - especially at the back of the head. The cut itself is extremely versatile and it's hard to resist buying all the colours.

I loved the Kahlua skirt from Barerose as soon as I saw it. I’ve been on a stripes kick the last couple days and I just thought “Hmm what could i do with a big poofy skirt that isn’t super dressy?”.

This is what I came up with. I used a couple of my more casual tops because I think it dresses it down without being too out of place First I put on the Iki open jacket from Tuli and it has a great sweater texture, also you cant see it but it has lacing up the front. The whole set is really great and I think I’m going to get a lot of layering use out of it.

Under that I have on the deepV Grey stripes top from Aion Ree, usually I try to avoid wearing shirts that can’t be bought anymore, but this is listed as DC_deepV Grey Stripe so I thought it was Devilish Cupcake. Turns out it’s not and Aion doesn’t have a shop so I’m sorry for that. I couldn’t find another striped shirt so if anyone knows of anything similar please let me know. Underneath everything I have on the Trixie Cami Undershirt from Celestial Studios, these have the cutest little lace edging.

My shoes are the Rosalinde shoes from Last Call Vamp in Gunmetal. I think If you pinned me down and demanded I pick a favorite black heel, first I would cry, but then I might just have to put this in my top 5. (I could never pick just one favorite of anything, which is why I'm always saying everything is my favorite)

Violet made a new jewelry set and it is really gorgeous, its a necklace and earrings set called Angel. They have the most adorable little charms with gems on them. On my left arm I have on the Retro skyscraper and on the right I have the Lumina bangle in aurora and silver its so pretty and dainty I had to take a close up shot for it to show better in the pictures.

Someone blogged C&H as a small hair maker and they have some really adorable styles. Just a couple so far but as you can see even the blonde is pretty nice. The one I’m wearing is called Half up and I like how the poof on the side contrasts the poof on the skirt.  I put on the Vogue (Blue Glitter) skin because well you know I love my blue eyeshadow by now.

I knew today that I wanted to start off with the Jackie Zebra Print Cardigan from The Hub, because I just adore the idea of a zebra cardigan. I tried many many shirts but I just didn’t feel any of them lived up to the fun feel of the cardigan until I tried on the zebra tube from D!ff. At first I was like hmm can you really wear 2 zebra print shirts without being tacky?? Then I decided that I loved the idea and I don’t care who thinks I’m tacky. I added the Octobre Outfit Turtleneck from Tete a Pied just to tone it down a teensy bit. I wanted to wear the super short super cute Dead Naga Mini in wine from Kyoot Army because I think its got wonderful ruffles and the belt detailing is great.

I, of course needed fishnets and Starley gave out the one’s I always wear (from an old Halloween Costume of hers) last week in a group Valentines giveaway so these are perfect, and even better are free if you are in her group. Then I topped it off with my favorite new boots the black Angelina Stilettos from SLink.

My accessories are all purple and orange because with all the black and white I needed some color! On my left wrist I’m wearing the Ethnic Wood Bangle (Tri-Colour) from Earthtones Boutique and on my right arm I have on the Jungle Jane Bracelet Stack from Frustrated Inc. My Necklace is an old favorite, the Baltic Amber Pendant from Cailyns and I really think this necklace matches about 80% of the clothing I own it was one of my best investments. The earrings I have on are the Black/Mandarin Garnet Nouveau Earrings from Miriel.

This super cute mod short hair style is called Edie and can be found at Aden. I finished it all off with the Celestial– Empyrean Vogue skin from Celestial Studios that I don’t wear nearly often enough.

You may have noticed a few changes around here, they are all good I hope. We desperately needed a new layout and Jenn and I are both really happy with how clean the new look is. Also anytime we get to play around with taking new pictures of ourselves is fun. My husband also added this really cool Amazon.com feature. He set up a little box where we can pick items from Amazon and if you click on them and purchase them we receive a tiny bit of profit to put back into the site. Mostly we love the idea because it’s a great way to share some rl products we love with you. (Jenn has already picked out like 20 lip glosses) It’s also pretty therapeutic window shopping as well. Hi there!

My outfit started with the boots.  I had purchased the Rumpled Boots from Pixel Dolls and went playing around with the fabulous color changer HUD that these come with.  These have 18 different colors you can choose from and they are all gorgeous.  I was in a darker mood this day and decided to wear them using the charcoal gray color.  I already had on the Janine hair from ETD and I used the scripted color/texture changer for the hat and put it to a solid charcoal.  I love ETD and I love how Elika makes hairstyles with scripted accessories.  As for the rest, I knew I wanted to incorporate the gray into the wardrobe in some other sort of way so I went shuffling through my inventory for the right pieces.

The first top I put on was this great gray tank I had from Celestial Studios.  I love Starley greatly because she does TONS of layers on these tops.  While I normally would wear this tank alone, I wanted to layer this under another top.  Over the tank from Celestial Studios is a funky little tank top from Microphage.  This shop has a whole bunch of bright bold colors and prints I adore.  I tried this with the same top in yellow first but it didn't look right with the gray underneath.  It was just too bright, so I put on the one I am wearing and liked the look but it still needed something.  I, like Hethr and Jenn, was so excited when Lo Jacobs put out her designs once more for us to enjoy.  Back when she was across from the old Dazzle store, I shopped at Luxe frequently.  Looking in her new/old store, I picked up this great leather jacket.   I slipped it on over the two tanks and LOVED the look on top.  I started to realize I was slowly creating this great, what I call, "Biker Chic" look, so I decided to go with it.

Now for the pants.  This one took me a little while.  At first I started with a skirt and it really didn't do it for me.  I tried on some gray pants and it looked too gray with the tank and boots.  I tried on a few pairs of jeans and it wasn't working.  I did tights, tights under shorts...you name it.  Finally I decided I needed to go shopping and wound up buying these black buttoned pants from G.L.A.M.  I know these were blogged about before but these are so great they need a second mention.  They way I am wearing them, I left off the optional prim leg flares and modified them to make them a little tighter and to fit under the boots.  Oh YES, I loved the pants with this!  But I wasn't done.  I needed accessories to pull this look together.

I had just received a demo belt from Orchid Dreams and liked the texture on it.  It was very feminine yet simple with the buckle and metal adornment at the tip of the belt.  I saw that it came in a 5 pack with the PERFECT dark gray/black color to go with the outfit so I went and snatched them up.  These belts are great as they are scripted with a resizing script with 6 different sizes with the option to make each size slightly bigger or smaller. 

I wanted a black and white necklace and I remembered a necklace from Miriel that I picked up doing a treasure hunt at the Jewelry Fair back in September, which was only available as a hunt gift.  While this one isn't available, Miriel has many other great items that range from the inexpensive to extravagant.  On a quick note; If you never go to the Fairs, I urge you to start!  Many times you can pick up some wonderful items that are only released for the fair and put back in the designer's inventory.  Oh, did I mention that a lot of these exclusive items are free?

Next I wanted a ring.  Not just a ring, but a BIG ring.  I went through my rings and put on one from Redgrave.  I absolutely love this one, as it's classy yet casual at the same time.  Now I was thinking of a bracelet.  I tried on ones I had but just wasn't satisfied with them for the outfit.  This really cute and chunky bracelet popped into my mind, one I saw over at Miam Miam when I was shopping for my pants.  I bought it, put it on, and changed the metal to silver to go with the ring.  For earrings I wanted something cute, and since Valentine's Day is approaching, I wanted something with hearts but not red hearts.  With that thought, I slipped on the super cute sculpted heart Lilibet earrings from the now retired Covet jewelry line at Last Call.  The earrings were a part of a set, they came with a sculpted heart necklace in different colors.  Lyra retired her jewelry collection permanently as she wanted to focus on shoes and other parts of fashion.  While I'll miss her jewelry creations, I'm looking forward to what she comes up with next.  Go check out her shoes if you haven't yet!

For the rest of it all, my skin is from Nevermore Studios.  I normally wear this skin but in a lighter makeup, Face #19.  However, this one called for more va-va-voom, so I put on one that had some nice red lips and dark smoky eyeshadow.  My eyes are also from Nevermore.  I bought these back in September of '06 and rarely take them off.  They are so close to my real eyes and I haven't found any other pair as close as these ones are.  My lashes were group freebie from Celestial Studios and aren't available anymore.  But, Starley has tons of other lash choices, so go check them out!

Hi! I’m a sucky blogger, I know. I just got so sidetracked with things. We got a Wii and I got addicted to that….and a little too into it (I whacked the boyfriend while playing tennis – purely accidental, I swear). I’m finally back in school (yay and bleh). Plus, it was so overwhelming to go through the fashion feed when there are 100+ posts in one day. Finally got through it and got my shopping done, but I’m sure I missed tons of things, so on to the outfit…..I started with the Clouds of Cats Jacket from Fashionably Dead. I’m not going to think about whether it’s supposed to be a cat fur jacket or not. Instead, I’m looking at it as a puffy jacket with a really cute shape and name. Plus, my cats would maul me in my sleep if I even thought about a cat fur jacket. It’s available on the shirt and jacket layer. The big bow on the right sleeve is perfect because I think if it were symmetric, it’d be too cutesy. Underneath, I’m wearing the White Victorian Blouse from Luxe Brand. I’m so happy that Lo Jacobs is kind of back because I love her creations. I haven’t worn many of her pieces in my posts in the past because she no longer had her store open, and I didn’t want to say “Neener neener, look at what you can’t buy anymore”. So, now I can open up my little treasure chest in my inventory. The blouse is on the shirt layer and is great for layering. I really love the details of the lace and collar. My Juju Jeans from Tres Blah are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I was stoked to hear that there are now tons of jeans in a rainbow of colors. I love the look of the Elephant Gray Jeans. They just look amazing to me.

            My shoes are the Chloe Sculpted Flats in Gold from Lassitude & Ennui. I’ve been on a yellow shoes kick lately and I really liked the subtle contrast it brought to the outfit. I’m wearing the Obi Bracelet in Yellow from Curious Kitties. I love the pattern and the cuff-like style of the bracelet. My ring is the Sin Silver Ring from Kru’s Boutique. I love how the pattern goes all the way around the band and the ring is rather substantial.

            My hair is the Edie Hair in Black from Aden. This hair is so cute. I love the texture of the hair, or the layering of the hair (as though it were a RL hairstyle, not the targa file used to texture of the hair although I do like that, too). I did resize some pieces because my ears are bigger (not Dumbo big, tyvm) than the SL norm so it may look slightly different from the original. My skin is the Medium Skin in Pepper Spray from Fashionably Dead. The eye makeup is gorgeous! The colors are awesome. There’s a little bit of blue on the bottom outer corners, but you can’t really see it because of the lashes so just letting you know.

2/14/08 Happy Valentines Day!

I couldn’t possibly let Valentines Day pass by without an outfit devoted to my very favorite color PINK!

I started with the wonderful new cords from Celestial Studios. Starley has redone all of her jeans/pants and also done new belts and added prim attachments for the legs.  Luckily I change outfits about every 3 hours so I have plenty of time to wear all the pants and all the colors since these come in tons and tons of them. I’m wearing the Pink cords with the Pink Plaid belt.

Because I really liked the plaid in the belt I mirrored it with this top from the Pink02 tartan Check one piece dress from Honey Kitty. Over that I put the Lane sweater from Mischief I just adore these poof sleeves. I even had a pair of Scottish pink ballet flats from Ibizarre in my inventory. I think if you name a piece of clothing I could come up with something pink for it.

I pulled all pink Jewelry out of my inventory too of course! On my right arm is the Pretty Jinsei Bracelets from Curious Kitties and these also have a pink plaid pattern mixed with black lace. On my left arm I have on the Found Hearts Bracelet from Yummy and used the color change script to turn it pink. My necklace my very favorite ever, not only does it have a little princess crown charm, not only is it pink but it’s called the “Hethr” necklace! Violet Voltaire made this for me and she sells it in different colors if you must have something besides pink in any color its super adorable.

I have on the Europa hair from Cake because I love all the little waves and of course the Vogue (Pink-Smoky) makeup because it’s pink duh!

I guess this is my pre-Valentines outfit. I know I have something very pink planned for tomorrow. But today this is something I would wear on a really fancy Valentines date, not that I go on many of those because I much prefer a quiet dinner at home with my husband but just in case I was going I would love to wear this.

To start with I am wearing the Garbo sweater from Second Wave Apparel and I absolutely adore the back on this shirt.  She has it in many colors and on all layers (as always), it also has very nice folds/shading. Next I put on the top from the Isobel dress from Fireflies, if you haven't been to this shop yet definately go check it out she has tons of freebies and her regular dresses are super cheap. (This dress was only 100L!!!). This is part of a semi sheer lace dress set and even though I’m not brave enough to wear an all lace dress I really like how it looks against the red of the shirt. Over those 2 I have on the Valentines Gift belt from Ibizarre, she is giving away a dress under the big pink heart tree in her shop. I think I will wear this belt alot and I only wish I had it in more colors.

My skirt is also available cheap right now, its the skirt from the Cameron outfit from Last Call and all of their outfits are on sale for 100L right now until they close the shop for good. It’s hard to find a nice swingy, short but semi-formal skirt so this is a must have. I know I’m always wearing the Sassy shoes from Maitreya in Black Velvet but I just really love the cut of them. I hardly wear the bows so if you aren’t into bows you can see that they look great with or without them.

I have been on a black and white jewelry kick and today is no exception. My focal piece of jewelry today is the Lady Cameo Set from Boing Fromage. This necklace is so classic and it manages to be big and bold without going overboard. The hair I have on is the Scarlett in Glazed Apricot from Armidi, I actually prefer this richer blonde/brown colors to their blonde textures with my skin tone. I don’t think I’ll be giving up on my Platinum blonde anytime soon though. My skin is from the Vogue Spring skin line and it’s called Fresh. It was actually kind of difficult to find a red lipstick that I liked with the shirt, but this ends up living up to it’s name.

We have been having a little bit of a warm spell here lately so I think it’s making me very ready for spring. So when I got the Paris shorts from AnnaH Couture free in the Valentines hunt (there are a couple going on, but this one’s huge grid wide and you should be able to pick up a notecard explaining it all in her shop). I pulled this sweater top from the Tunic D5 from CE Cubic effect because aqua and pink are 2 of my very favorite colors and it is a really gorgeous dress, but also as you can see makes a great sweater on its own. It comes with sleeve prims and a prim for the chest. I took off the chest prim on accident before I took pictures (oops) but it still looks great without it.

I threw on this tank top I got free from Lily Grace, but it looks like her shop is now closed. I just liked the darker aqua and the orange as a contrast. The belt is from one of my favorite sets. They are from Love, Aly and come in a bunch of colors for a ridiculously cheap price and on so many layers and positions you will want to wear them with every outfit.

Over half of my jewelry is free today too. These super cute teardrop color change earrings are from Artilleri and she said she will be releasing them for sale in her shop soon. If you missed them they were given out on Fashion Consolidated’s birthday and are probably still available in the group archive. another Fashion Con birthday present was this super cute “Fashion Rocks” necklace. it doesn’t have a creator tag so I’m not sure who made it but I’m sure its available in the group archive also.

My last but definately not least piece of freebie jewelry is the Dainty Cake Ring from Punch Drunk. I’m not sure if this is always available or if she only has it out for Valentines so your best bet is to run right over and grab one. On my left arm is the checker wood bangle from Earthtones and it is also color changeable. On my right arm I’m wearing the gank cuff from Violet Voltaire I just adore these cuffs.

I think that the Crisis Pumps from Tekilah Elytis are probably my favorite heels because not only are they super cute without being too fancy, but they are color changeable so they match just about everything you can think up. I keep throwing on this Alala hair from Hiccup because I’ve been really into short hairs lately and this one is fun and yet elegant at the same time.  Of course I added the Vogue skin in Aqua – Glitter from Celestial Studios and I think I’m ready for spring time.

This outfit started with a shopping trip to Celestial Studios to get
the lovely Gilda Dress, which I saw  as a new release on a fashion
blog.   I love the texture, and the belt is a great accentuating
feature.   Another moment of inspiration came  later when I was  at
CKSD where I saw, and fell in love with their Placid Outfit.  The
pieces I especially love are the open half jacket and knee high plaid
socks and I thought I would try to see how they might look with the
Gilda dress.   The result is a great combination - a kind of glamorous
school uniform.   I wanted a long  slender non-shiny necklace to
accentuate the open gap of the jacket and I found the perfect one for
that in the Mechanica necklace and matching earrings from Shiny
Things.  To  further add to the pseudo school look I wanted short and
slightly ruffled hair hinting at edgy rebelliousness  so I chose Drew,
with blackened tips from Panache.  The one accessory I spent quite a
lot of time searching for was the shoulder bag and I finally found one
 that I liked  in a small store in Italia 2 Torion called Weston.  I
added  a couple of accessories  for sexiness - a lovely chain ring
bracelet from a new jewelry store store called Trixie's Treasures and
a color changing garter (using light blue) around my upper right thigh
from Digital Dragon Designs.

I did warn you that I was really loving these new SLink boots. Today I have on the Olivia Suede Wedge boots in grey blue, these are the perfect casual boot. I wanted to wear this super cute hat/hair combo from Alla Ruff of Veschi because it’s tintable with changeable textures on this texture matches the boots almost perfectly, the super cute flippy hairstyle makes it 20x more adorable. You should head over to Veschi soon anyway because Alla is having a sale, her computer died so she is having a 50% off sale to try and generate some more income to buy a new one.

My top is of course 3 tops in one I started this time with the great navy blue shrug from Larue Lavel she has these in quite a few colors on the shirt and jacket layer making them great to mix and match with. The shirt is from the violet flexydress from Pixeldolls Onrez only line called 2811 and under that I have on the black/blue goddess bra from Love Lace. I think overall this gives the top a more whimsical feel and keeps it from being too boring.

This fabulously shaped skirt is from DP Yum Yum and you can wear it with the plain version or there is a version with little flowers on the side. I added some black and white jewelry and my pink tights from Cream shop and I think overall it’s fun sorta funky look.

So I had most of this written up back at the end of October and I've only just found it in my email drafts. I started the outfit with the serendipity shirt from Decoy. I love all of Annette Voight's work and the colour of this top is one of my favourites. The attention to detail and colour palette of basically everything in her store makes me tingle in all the right places. Nylon Pinkney's Sequin Heart Jeans are definitely my favourite jeans on the grid. There are a lot of good ones out there and, heck, these ones don't even have prim lower-leg attachments but they do have gorgeous hand-drawn texturing that curves them around the body and makes them seem like they're actually hugging your hips. To continue the Autumn-esque palette I added a crocheted shrug in dark brown from MG Fashion. Voluminous knit-wear has been rather en vogue of late so it's nice to see pieces like this filtering into Second Life.

I wanted to bring another colour into the outfit  with the accessories, teal looks fantastic with burnt orange so I added a wide belt from caLLie cLine to set off my Autumnal hues. More teal with the Tart Bangle Stack from Culture Vulture. Sometimes when wearing solid-coloured pieces, rather than patterns, I end up falling into the trap of monochromatic outfits so I think it's important not to shy away from accessories that bring in a few more colours (so long as they don't look horrid together of course). My shoes and necklace bring us back to the orange of the starting piece. I love the Feuille Naturelle necklaces from EARTHTONES Boutique the tiny sculpted leaves remind me of a pair of earrings my mum once gave me in real life. A further RL correlation is that I like to add a few understated pieces of jewelery so they don't over-power the statement items. For this outfit I added studs from the Journey set by Lucas Lameth and the black metal Stardrop Ring - also by Mr Lameth.

I thought a nice neutral lip colour would be best for this look so I chose Almond Sultry 1 from Tete a Pied's Vivant skin line. I love the smokey eye and you can definitely see Roslin Petion's RL make-up experience in the execution. I think Tilly Tokyo makes gorgeous hair and Slow Jamz 2007 combines my two favourite hair elements - it's short and it has a head-band. The perfection runs the risk of shorting out my brain. My eyes are from Miriel Enfield's fantastic realism collection. I think this set was a really neat idea - particularly for someone like me - because while it's nice to experiment with things that aren't possible in RL it's nice to see a natural look in the final product.

Ok I have a confession to make but please don't tell my husband….. I’ve fallen in love.

I am completely and totally infatuated with the new boots from SLink. As you know by now with my endless whining I have a hard time finding prim boots that fit my calves. My search is now over the new sculpted boots from SLink all manage to fit without being the “wide” version that looks big and clunky on my legs. Above I’m wearing the Angelina Stiletto in Bronze. She has made 4 types so far and this probably the first time I’ve bought a fat pack of shoes (3 times even!! one fat pack of each of the tall boots). I’m sure I’ll be modeling them all for you in the coming weeks.

The were my starting inspiration for this outfit and from there I chose the Amarantine pants in Equinox from CKS Designs. These were probably one of my best pants purchases I’m always throwing them on just because I love the color combination so much.  I had a harder time finding a shirt because with the pattern on the pants you don't want wear anything too overwhelming on top. I quickly decided on the Flux Cropped Leather Jacket from Pushbutton Industries because of the beautiful color and all the neat accents. This also has a cute prim collar but I decided I would rather wear a necklace today.

Under that the white shirt I have on is the collared shirt from Luxe Brand Outlet. If you missed out on Luxe the first time Lo was in SL you should definately check it out now (especially because now everything is at bargain basement prices) She has a very classic simple style and I am so happy that she has a store again so I can start wearing some of my favorites from there again. Under it all I have on the Asymmetric blouse from Savvy? of course Dakota put this on every layer combo conceivable so it’ perfect to mix and match with. Really all 3 of these tops show an attention to detail and a uniqueness that I wish every designer could capture in second life.

I am not wearing a lot of jewelry, maybe I’m learning some restraint, but I wouldn't count on it. My earrings are the Spring Leaf earrings from Shiny things and I just really like the pop of green against all the neutral colors I’m wearing. My necklace is the Chunky Heart Necklace from Miam Miam, I’ve been on a Miam Miam kick lately with my necklace and really who can blame me. She has such cute ideas.

Eva II is one of my all time favorite hairs from ETD I just think it’s such a classic look and nd it can be dressed up or down. I think ETD is closed right now working on her new stuff but I’m sure you all own all of her hairs now after that massive sale she had and if not shame on you. I’m wearing another of the Chai skins from Launa Fauna. This one really appealed to me because I love the combo of blue and brown eye makeup and the pretty shiny lips.  This outfit feels cozy and wintery and yet very stylish to me. I think I need that because we’ve been having an icky mix and rain/snow lately here in Northern California.
