I do realized that Kaela just wore this hair in her last post, but we have always been known to show up wearing the same things. It started way back in There.com and I think she just stalks my closet to see what I’m wearing and then puts it on too…. Actually I had these pictures finished for a week and then she posted hers and I decided to use mine too cause I really like this outfit and I think the Europa hair from Cake really gives it a sophisticated fun finish.

 

This outfit actually started in forming in my head when I picked up the Fun Time Stripes dress from Veschi. I put on the top with its adorable prim bow and realized it would match the Enchant shoes in green plaid I bought from Maitreya a few weeks ago. I bought them on a whim because I just loved the idea of a green plaid shoe and have been on the lookout for something to match them. I think both pieces are really fun and different looks.

 

I put the sequins glamour vest from Kenzie Craven over this shirt and I really like the button and back strap detail. The top still seemed to need something else. So then I had to dig through my shirts on the undershirt layer. Luckily I found the sculpted rumple shrug from Pixeldolls. I am so happy this comes on all 3 layers it works perfectly as a way to add some nice sleeves to sleeve less tops and tanks. I like it so much I even gave up my beloved bangles in favor of the little rumply prim attachments on the wrists.

 

Pants were a little harder to pick because I didn’t want to overpower the outfit so I chose the Isabeaux leather pants in black from Launa Fauna. I think the skinny leg version fits really nicely over a nice heel. These pants are a classic must have and you should all have a pair in your inventory in at least one of the colors. (Black, red or pink)

 

Because of where the prim bow on the shirt is attached I had to try on a few different necklaces before settling on the Hethr necklace in black/silver from Violet Voltaire. Yes the necklace is named for me and Vi is one of my bestest friends but its really not just vanity or promotion for one of my friends. This necklace is beautiful and I love the tiny crown and I couldn't ask for a better piece to be named for me.

 

I forgot to take a close up of my ring but you can see it, it’s the Black Pearl ring from Paper Couture. This was a Jewelry Expo exclusive and they had some really lovely rings there so I’ll probably be wearing them a lot. I hope you were able to pick them up when that was going on. I wanted earrings but I needed really bold ones to show through the curly hair. These green sequin earrings from Junk work really well because they are huge and a bright vibrant color.

Last certainly not least I HAD to wear one of the Fall Vogue skins from Celestial Studios. I don’t know how Starley keeps making her skins more and more beautiful but this neutral set is so perfect for just about every outfit. I’m wearing fall 3 and I just love the eyes, beautiful lip color and of course the lovely rosy cheeks. Also they were half off along with all of the Vogue and Charmed skin lines (exceptions are the Glow line and Deviant Nation line as these are collaborative efforts)  at Celestial Studios. which is awesome and you should go check it out. It’s a great time to catch up on any makeup you have missed.

Today’s outfit started with the Virginie Hunting jacket.  I love the detail on this jacket and the fact that it’s so versatile…you can dress it up or down depending on your mood.  Of course my mood is “dress down” most of the time!  I left on the prim sleeves, and then paired it with Pandora’s Penchant top in black & white from Nymphetamine. The lace detail on the shirt gave me a “covered but sexy” feel, and also matched the lace hanging out of the bottom of the jacket sleeves.

 

When I went looking for pants to wear with the jacket, I remembered these great “saggin black” pants from, Nein!.  I wish the picture showed how great the detail is on the belt buckle and the chain & Cross...I’m so glad I found these hiding in my inventory again!! I threw on my “Oi” boots from Beckenbauer Productions to complete the “casualness”

 

I’m wearing the Europa hair from Cake. If I had to choose to keep just 1 hair from my inventory, this would be the hair… I love the messy, wavy, half styled, cover part of my face mystique look it has. On top of that, I put on this adorable top hat (there are 2 hats in this outfit) from the “Stheno” outfit at Bare Rose

 

My necklace is the “Sacred Heart” necklace by Tekeli Li at Dark Artistry. Pretty much everything on this necklace is color changeable (except for the heart and blood dripping from the sword, those stay red of course).  I chose “Dusk” skin from Celestial Studios, because I love the eyeliner, and the deep red tone of  the lipstick.

Well, I’m here for my monthly post. I’m kidding. I disappeared for a bit and had some “me” time. I do plan to post more often though. So, this outfit all started with the Holey Sweater in Gray from Sand Shack Surf Co. It’s getting cooler (yay!), and this just felt appropriate. This sweater is super cute and comes in lots of colors. I love the hand-drawn look, and the little holes on the sleeves and the big button are definitely nice touches. I’m wearing the Haver Tee in Navy from Savvy? This is a part of a freebie gift available at the store at The Promenade (I didn’t’ check to see if the other locations had them cause I was lazy. Hey, at least I admit it.) I think this is probably one of the best freebies I have ever come across. First, there are lots of color options and the shirt is very well made. The shirt is the shirt from the Haver outfit in different colors. Second, the layer options. I love that the tops come in all three layers – the jacket or the shirt/undershirt and pants/underpants layers This is especially wonderfully because with the bottoms on the pants layer I can have my shirt untucked without having to go with the jacket layer. I’m not too crazy about tucking in my shirts.

 

I initially wanted to wear a skirt with this, but I was having difficulties finding skirts with the glitch pants on the underwear layer. So, I gave up my search and went with pants, and I’m quite happy that I did. I love that the Dark Distressed Tweed Pant Trousers from GLAM come in both bottom layers. I went with the underwear layer so I could have my shirt untucked, of course. I love menswear fabrics, and tweeds are probably one of my favorites. There are so many details on these pants from the stitching, the rivets, the wrinkling, to the seaming around the pockets. I really like the welt pockets and the uplifting shading in the booty region.

 

The boots are the Liah Boots in Onyx from Last Call. I love the knee-length and sleekness of these boots. The straps are really nice, subtle details. My necklace is the Lady Cameo Set in Silver from boing fromage. One of my favorite pieces of jewelry, the Cameo & Sautoir Set, has been revamped with gold (a new gold texture) and silver metal options in the set. I went with the silver one. My ring is the NoHo Ring from I <3 Juicy. I was so excited to see new stuff from I <3 Juicy. I was really drawn to this ring for its rustic look and I love almost any jewelry with copper.

 

My hair is Tyra in Smoke from ETD. I really like the asymmetrical look of this hair, and it just has a soft, clean look to it. My skin is the Vogue Skin in Cashmere (Spring – Pure) from Celestial Studios. I think this skin has a really fresh and clean look that I just love.

I started todays outfit with this cute net lace skirt from Ibizarre. I saw the store’s notice in Fash Con and when I went to check it out I noticed a wall of “mix up” pieces. These are a couple different styles of black tops and about 5–8 different styles of black skirts. I had to have this net skirt because of how great and poofy it is. I will definately be picking up more pieces from there because I think that is a great idea.

I wanted to use this pepper striped top from Bossa Nova for the great belt. This was part of the free package that she gave out at last weeks grand reopening of the shop and it looks like that box is gone now so I hope you were able to pick up a copy. This top also has an asymmetrical neckline that makes it perfect for layering other tops such as the Shwank top in berry from Alla Ruff of Veschi. Now would be a great time to check out Veschi as she’s having a half off sale! This top has a lovely ruffly collar you could use, but I chose to wear the Antique Pearl Choker from Paper Couture. I picked this up at the Jewelry Expo and it is Jewelry Expo exclusive but if you go today I just checked and their booth is still up I have no idea for how much longer though. (Sorry guess I’m a week behind I hope you picked up all these goodies)

To balance out the berry top I added my purkle seamed tights from Battered Boudoir and tinted them a little darker. I’m loving the new Clara sling backs from Shiny Things and I have them on in silver here. I thought black might be a bit too matchy matchy and the silver goes nicely with the pepper striped top.

My jewelry stayed pretty simple, starting with the black pearl and silver cameo earrings from Second Mirage. On my right arm I have on the silver flexi bangles from Caroline Apollo and on my left arm I have the Tendenza Floreal bracelet in mauve from Ame True. These are both lovely bracelets and I find myself wearing them a lot.

I used to have this favorite hairstyle at ETD called Fancy and as soon as I saw the new style Vivian I knew it would be my new favorite updo. This is such a simple hairstyle, but so elegant that it can go with a fancy dress, day dress or even jeans and a sweater. I even tried to keep my makeup simple and went Vogue Vamp-Enchant from Celestial Studios. This has heavy eyeliner and the lightest mauve lips and really matches the mood of this outfit.

So sometimes an outfit starts with something as small as someone telling me I can’t make an outift out of something. This little leopard skirt is new from Love,Aly and she showed it to me and said “Well this is too hoochie for you..” And I think she was totally wrong, this skirt comes with either a  leopard bikini and cute turtleneck sweater or the sweater with the skirt and bikini in a zebra print. The skirt has this cute prim belt built in and I was surprised but with very little moving around I got the prims to fit perfectly on my waist. The skirt is a little short but it’s so short it’s more fun than hoochie ( I do recommend some leggings/tights/capri's but hey if you wanna flaunt it go ahead)

I wanted to wear my very favorite Hana capri's from Celestial studios because I think the little slit in the side makes them work just as well as leggings and keeps them from looking too boring. The black top I chose is actually the top and underpants layer from the Marzipan dress from Pixeldolls. I know that she is doing a huge restructure of the store eventually so if you haven't picked up this dress yet you should. It makes the perfect undershirt and comes on all the layers. There is some really nice ruching on the fabric and I love 3/4 length sleeves.

I decided to not listen to my mom and wear black and brown. I think this isn’t really a fashion rule but my mommy taught me never to wear navy/black or brown/black so in rl I never will.  Although seeing it here I think maybe she was mistaken cause I think the Laine bolero from elka and Boing Fromage looks great *I just found out its discontinued which is sad but I really hope elka redoes it!*. Then just to give the outift that perfect touch I put on the vega swimsuit top in white from Casa del Shai.

These adorable wedge pumps are from ETD and really is it fair that Elika makes beautiful hair she has to make beautiful shoes too? I took a long time picking out my jewelry because I wanted to avoid going too costumey or over the top. I knew I wanted the jungle jane bracelet from Frustrated Inc because of the beautiful orange color and of course the leopard print bangle.  Once I had the orange picked out the glass chunk ring in retro peach from Shiny Things was an obvious choice. Next I put the leather ring wristband in khaki from ETD on my left hand, I’m pretty sure this has been discontinued as I couldn't see it in the store but it’s still a classic piece.

The wooden heart necklace from Tuli is super cute and almost looks like something you bought at a craft show or you made at home. I like all the different beads. Finally the earrings are the everyday gems stud earrings in sunstone and I think everyone should have one great pair of studs in their inventory. Usually I go with much bigger earrings but sometimes I just want that tiny splash of color.

The hair I have on is actually an older style from ETD that she is now selling for 100L in each of her new color packs. This is a great deal and the hair is still gorgeous, you can’t even tell I got it in the discount room. I don’t usually wear a lot of gold jewelry so I wasn’t sure if I would wear the Vogue classic glitter gold skins much. I really love the eyes and lips on this gold 2 version though. They aren’t a harsh gold at all it’s more of a glowing bronzey gold and the lips are just the right shade of red.

 I think that most of the items in this outfit are items I can’t live without in my inventory. They are nice solid pieces that you can wear with tons of different looks.

Hello everyone just a little reminder that I don’t take review copies. The reason for this is that because I am making outfits I can’t ever guarantee that I’ll be able to use something in a timely manner so this is not fair to the designer. You wouldn’t believe the backlog of things I’ve bought meaning to make outfits out of, so while I appreciate the thought I would much rather receive a landmark to your shop and maybe even some photos of your things in a folder with your name. I’m sorry to be difficult I just don’t think its fair to accept the review copies when I don’t actually do any reviewing.

So now my outfit. I am going to start with something different this time. The very first piece I put on this time were my new Slink boots, I saw them on the forums (yes the one time I check the forums in the last 2 months I will have to check more now) and I was trying to figure out if they were sculpted or texture. As you might remember I’m always on the hunt for new texture boots, well imagine my glee when I asked the creator and found out yes they are texture boots. So YAY!! I bought them in 3 colors and I’m sure soon I’ll have them in every color available. These ones are the Latte Stiletto Slink boots and they are so shiny and lovely I want to hug them and squeeze them.

Next I was trying to decide what skirt to wear with them when I remembered the Colleen bib shorts from Savvy? Turns out the Bronze pair are a near perfect color match to my new boots. I’m not usually a shorts girl but these are so cute and dressy they remind me of a cute skirt. I couldn't decide what color top to wear so I tried on tons and then when i put on this one from the Avenue dress by Versteck I loved the color and texture. The jacket was actually an easy pick for me because I love this sequin hoodie from Fashionably Dead and it comes in 4 colors.

 The final part I had to add to the top was something to cover my belly. I decided on the tucked part of the Trixie hoodie in wheat because it blends the colors in the shorts and the top so well. I knew I wanted tights, but I couldn't think of what color then Violet suggested yellow and I found these seamed pastel yellow hose from Battered Boudoir, when I bought the pack I loved the fact that they had pastel colors because my other tights were so dark.

I’m wearing the bibliophile silver necklace from Mad About… and I’ve had this fro a while too and have always had a hard time matching to to my outfits, but the color works perfectly with this. I love the idea of wearing a tiny book probably because I am an avid reader in rl and bookstores are some of my favorite places to be. I picked up these great zebra earrings in a freebie box at Woo’s while following a tip from Delilah Karas that I could find some great colored hoops there. She was right and I picked up a massive set of dotted hoops, but these Zebra freebie hoops seemed to fit the feel of this outfit perfectly.

On my left arm I have on the natural blue bracelet from Caroline Apollo and I know I just raved about the necklaces a few posts ago, but I really do love these gems they are so pretty. On my right arm I happened to find this Lily bangle set at Cream Shop and I think its so cute. It’s a huge bunch of various bangles all tied together with this beautiful Lily. Lilies are special to me because my fiance has always bought me lilies ever since one of our very first dates 4 years ago.

I’m wearing another new ETD hair this one is the Madeleine II and since the Madeleine is one of my all time favorite ETD hairs you can just imagine how much I love this one too. My skin is the Vogue Spring Equinox and I just love the purple eyes on this and the faintly blushed cheeks. It’s very fresh feeling.

Funny story on the hats, I got a message from Fash Con from Spazola talking about these cute hats they had for sale. So I went to go check them out and they were only 5L can you believe that? They have tons of them and all of them are super cute. This froggie one seemed to match my outfit so I just left it on and wore it around for a couple days.

Ok.. I have no excuse except the boring same old work one so lets get on to the clothes!

I have had this skirt from the Strawberry Meringue outfit by Alla Ruff of Veschi for a few months and I kept wanting to make an outfit out of it so the other day I sat down and got to work. Turns out I was waiting for the Big Color Belts from Love,Aly because they are perfectly placed to put on with the skirt. I love this skirt i think its a little crazy and super fun.

As soon as I figured out I wanted the belt then I needed the perfect white shirt for this. I think I tried on 40  white shirts before I remembered that a while ago I raided Moderno at Last Call to see what men’s outfits I could take over. The shirt from Bello is so perfect with this. In fact I think this might be my perfect white button up shirt (unbuttoned of course so I can wear more layers).

The last piece was actually my hardest to find until Kaela suggested something in yellow. Then I remembered that I bought this huge set of cupcake tanks at Devilish Cupcakes sale for only 100L. The sale is still going as of yesterday so if you haven’t been yet you better hurry over.

My shoes are the Sculpted Wedges from Celestial Studios and are a bargain at 150L because you can color the cloth band on them a number of colors. So does it scare everyone to see how much thinking I actually have to do to put together an outfit (cause it terrifies me). The sea necklace from royal blue inspired my pearl bracelets. This necklace is cute and you can recolor the beads so I chose a nice navy color to match the little anchor. On my left arm is the white pearl tripled bracelet from Rona Robertson and on my left is the pearly bow bracelet from Junk which I have dyed red. I wanted some big earrings so I chose the globe earrings from Caliente Express.

I wasn’t sure if I would be a belt o wear the Red Glow Vogue makeup from Canimal and Celestial Studios because I don’t usually wear alot of red. The more I have this on though the more and more I appreciate the blending of the orangey/yellowy/reds.  And the most exciting thing I’m wearing is a new ETD hair this is the Eva II and I adored the Eva I so of course I wanted to wear this. All of the new hairs and textures are so beautiful.

Ok there might be one or two more small reasons I haven’t been around as much. About a month ago we got 2 little additions to our family and they are finally starting to trust me so I’ve been spending time cuddling with my new Guinea pigs Wilbur and Spike. (Yes I’m a silly pet mommy I can’t help it they are so darn cute) They are a little camera shy so this is the best I could get of them.

I don’t know if any of you have ever taken a really long break from second life (yes in my world 2 weeks is a really long break), but it’s very hard to get back into the swing of things after that. I am feeling much better after all that rest and ty to everyone for the good thoughts . But it’s been hard to get back into outfit making mode especially because the few times I have been able to shop I’ve went crazy and my inventory is now a huge disaster.

Somehow I managed to piece together this outfit and I feel like its very relaxed. This is sorta how I’m feeling this week which is a nice change. I started with the garden party top from icing. This top comes with a dress that is a lovely tea part dress perfect for sitting on the veranda sipping tea in, but also makes a great top on its own. Over the top I put the white lace shirt from Relika. I bought this top in a set a few months ago and I just never seemed to find the right outfit for it, but this seems perfect. It is so pretty and girly it goes really well with the flowery shirt.

I decided on the Casey corsetted pants from Last Call because at first glance they seem like a nice demure pair of white slacks. Once you look a little closer at the details you see that they are really funky and I think they make the outfit look more youthful and keep it from being dowdy. Underneath everything I put on the Trixie limeade stripe halter just to give it a little color pop.

It seems while I was gone everyone made flats and it makes me so happy!!! I remember when I started sl long time ago you couldn't find a pair of flats to save your life and it was one of my biggest complaints. Now with the new sculpted prims they are all over the place and I couldn't be happier. This pair are the ballet phlat (white dotty) from Tekilah Elytis she is the same one that made the crisis pumps I was wearing last time and these phlats also color change. They are such a great deal and so adorable.

For my jewelry I started with the natural green necklace from Caroline Apollo, this is such a beautiful necklace. The beads are little rounded off squares and I cant quite tell if they are sculpted prims or if its part of the texture. On my left hand I have on the antiqued bracelet in old silver/coral from Miriels. I think I would go cross eyed if I tried to make the tiny delicate pieces that Miriel puts out, but I’m not complaining I love all of it! On my right arm I am wearing the citrus bracelet stack from Frustrated Inc, they have these in tons of color so I’m sure you can find one that will fit you. I also added my Lulu color change earrings because well where else can you find lime green earrings when you need them?

I’m glad Starley decided to put out the old Deviant Nation skin line again the one I’m wearing is the drama queen – Trash makeup. It has the prettiest lip and eye color.  My hair is a little wild and I felt like it was needed to tie my outfit together. This is the Valium hair from Deviant Kitties, I’m not sure where she got the name because it doesn't make me feel calmed down much at all.

I have so much catching up to do, but as long as I’m feeling better I should be around and posting. Thank you to everyone that stuck around and you can blame ETD for me releasing this post so late today.
