12-19-10 It's been 4 years.

So. Hi. I missed you guys. I missed my 4 year blogging anniversary. It's been a bit tough staying in second life lately but Santa has been good to me this year and I have a brand new shiny pink computer. I can now stay logged in and even do fun things like shadows. So I decided to just jump back into the blogging pool. I am amazed at how much prettier I look with the new settings. Hopefully that means good things for my future posts and that there will be more than 1 (or LESS) posts a month. Now onto the outfit!

Someone introduced me to Tokidoki a little while ago and I really like what I've found there so far. This cute skirt is from there it sculpted but really easy to fit. I should mention that it didn't include undies though so you'll have to find your own. I sort of want to swirl around in this its so fun and fluffy. I found this really cute simple tee shirt from Jane when I went to check out Janie Marlow's new shop. At first I was sad when she closed down Mischief but seeing her new brand I think she will fill this shop up with even cuter things. There are all sorts of beautiful basics that will fit into any wardrobe. Over the top of it I added this sweater from Tuli I think it's not for sale any longer but if you have it hiding in your inventory it worth digging it out again.

Just about the time I was putting this outfit together Lassitude and Ennui released these wonderful Thecia boots. I have always had a hard time with boots and before we had alpha layers I wouldn't have been able to fit into lovely boots like this. I am really really really glad that now I can wear them. They come in a bunch or colors and I doubt this is the first time you'll see them here.

I feel like this outfit has a theme... I just realized my hair is from Elikatira and she also took a bit of a break and is back stronger than ever. Her new hairs are just a gorgeous and wearable as ever. I still want to hire her to do my hair every morning. This one is Blind in Blonde 08 and comes with 2 bangs style. I went minimal on the jewelry and am just wearing the Multi Strand I Dream of India Necklace.

Exodi released a ton of new eyelash, eyeshadow, blush and lipgloss tattoo layer makeup and I'm wearing her blush, shadow and eyelashes here over my usual Chloe skin from Exile. These makeup layers are so much fun to play with.

It's getting colder here but it's still California so that might explain for why this outfit has a huge heavy coat but capri's with sockless shoes. I think I could totally wear this and get away with it here.  I should also mention that I have been using SL 2.1 so I have things layered. I love the new layers of course. I have on 2 jackets and a bunch of makeup over my skin.

This gorgeous jacket is from Coco and I was just searching for a rl winter coat .. If I could have had this one I would have been so happy. I love all the details and it just looks so soft and warm. Underneath I have this pretty sheer shirt with a ruffle from Twosome and I wanted some sort of color so under that I put the dollinger tee from Thimbles.  These pants are the cuffed cords from Doppleganger Inc. I'm a bit new to their store but judging from these pants I"ll definately be checking them out more. They have really great wrinkles and texturing.

I was having a hard time finding shoes to match right about the time Lazy places released these super adorable autumn themed shoes. The checks really look great with the coat. I didnt have a lot of room to show of jewlry but these big sunflower earrings from Monkee give a nice little pop of color. Since I couldnt wear tons of jewelry I went with lots of bows in my hair. This is the Kandie hair from Katat0nik  the bows are color change and so cute!

There were 2 reasons I forced myself to give the official viewer another try. Both had to do with layering. Of course you know how much the clothing layers mean to me, but the tattoo layers and being able to wear multiples of them is just amazing. In this outfit I have on my usual Exile skin, then I layered on some outrageous lashes from Garage, then a full face makeup from Alaska metro and THEN finally a nice clear lipgloss coating from Cheap Makeup. It's literally endless the amount of combinations you can make now.

I think I better take this avie off to a pumpkin farm or something now.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Pieces from The Forest Sim

OK I saved my favorite sim for last. I know I loved pieces on all the sims but really The Forest had my very favorite pieces. Sorry to be so late by the time this goes out jewelry fair will probably be down or close to it, but you can get most if not all the items in the sellers main stores.

Every once in awhile I find a cute accessory with a moustache on it. I am not sure why but I MUST BUY IT if I see it. This is The 'stache ring from Lazy Places. It's so adorable. It comes in black, white or a mix of both. I really like black though. There are 4 kinds: classic with a plain old moustache, celebrity with a tiny star, lover with a tiny heart and the sugar daddy with a tiny bling gem. Such a unique idea!

Lazy Places was full of unique ideas they also came up with this Bij set. Now I am terrified of bees like see one and scream like a little girl but this set is so cute I warily put it on and fell right in love. This love does not extend to rl bees though so STAY AWAY FROM ME.

I got this huge ring set from Centro Pallini it's just called GEM complete rings. There are lots of options for how to wear them and I love that they are big and colorful. They will match tons of outfits.

This is the gorgeous Obsidian Eye set from DarkMouse Jewelry. As always it's very well put together with some really nice touches like the pretty bow on the clasp.

I also really liked the Milkweed set from DarkMouse. This is based on the flower I assume and it has a nice organic look but the metal still gives it a sharpness.

This completely gorgeous and very Hethr looking set is the White Lace and strange set from Violet Voltaire. This comes in 5 colors and really what's not to love it has lace, pearls, cameos and bows.

This is the Elegant Crescents Set from Ear Candy. I really loved the orange color and the little gems studding the outside of the pendant and earrings. I don't think I own anything quite like this.

The Beauty + Beast set from Bliensen + MaiTai is really pretty the little cameo's have what I assume are drawings of beauty and beast. I think this might have been an exclusive to jewelry fair, but I would go check at their store anyway because they have quite a few pretty items.

This is the Orinthia Puro Set from Illusions. I haven't really bought many things from them but I felt like this necklace reminded me a bit of a sorcerers orb. I love how big and smooth and shiny it is.

And last but definately NOT least is this gorgeous delicate set from Lassitude and Ennui. It's called bleeding heart and comes with quite a few options. There are short or long versions and you can change the color of the pearls or flowers via HUD.  It's really a lovely piece and it's so nice to see Jackal making jewelry again.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Pieces from Beauty's Castle Sim

I found quite a few favorites in the Beauty sim. This is the Kennedy Pearl set from Caroline's Jewelry and I think instead she could have called it the Hethr Set. Seriously I adore this. There are lovely necklaces and earrings in white, black or pink pearls. Also a lovely brooch and ring. Very classy!

This is another set from Caroline's Jewelry. The Seasons set come colors representing each season. Winter is my favorite maybe because blue topaz is my birthstone.

This is the first time I have seen the store $GaNKeD$. This collar from the Coveted set also comes with cuffs, but really I just think the collar is amazing.

I was so pleased to see that Alaska Metro had a booth at Jewelry Fair I didn't know she was back in sl again. I showed the adorable free ring she is giving out and this is the necklace that matches. What a unique idea.

Ariella's Heart Set from Miao is really nice. Of course I love hearts you know that but I like when metal is mixed with wood. It is a cute natural looking set.

Also from Miao is the Madeline Pearl Ribbon set. This set is amazing EVERYTHING changes via script : the ribbon, the metal, the big middle stone and the tiny outer stones. Of course I turned it pink :)

Another new store to me is *Amaranthus* they had these cute little earrings as one of their charity items they were also very reasonably priced.

This box locket is also from *Amaranthus* it's pretty neat. I bought it and then realized that it was a special order item. I filled out a notecard with metal color/color and what I wanted inside. I could choose a lock of hair, a picture or a note. I thought the lock of hair was cute so I went with that.

Lastly are these Jellyfish earrings from Star Kindler.  It looks liek the same creator owns both *Amaranthus* and Star Kindler so I will be sure to check both stores out in the future.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Pieces from the Village Sim

My favorite thing from the Village sim are the Madison Earrings from Iced. I love how fun and light the little feathery parts are and the beads are color change so they are very versatile.

Next up is this I love Autumn set from Primagine. I don't think there is much I can say it screams autumn and of course who doesn't love hearts.

This sweet little necklace is the Gilded Virgin Necklace in Silver from Whippet & Buck. It's simple but really lovely with tiny pearls scattered along the chain.

This bracelet is also out from Whippet and Buck. I got a fatpack of the Diamond and Pearl Bracelet because the price is so reasonable. I really don't think you can beat such a classic style.

Finally this Beads and Bow necklace in Turquoise is from Elemental Earth Designs. I really like how it has a crafty feel to it. It reminds me of a lot of styles I love on Etsy.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Pieces from Beast's Castle Sim

I think my very favorite set from this sim is the Trinity Set in white satin from Lolapop! You know I love pearls and she modeled this set after a set worn by a Queen in the Trinity Blood anime series and I do indeed feel very queenly in it. It also is available in black pearls but I really love the white. This set is huge with earrings, necklace, two bracelets and two rings.



Another set I really like from Lolapop! is the Dark Beauty Set. This is also available in black or white pearls but I think with it's darker feel the black pearls are perfect. I love the feminine flowers surrounding those little demons. This set is huge with earrings, necklace, two bracelets and two rings.



As you know the theme to this years Jewelry Fair is Beauty and the Beast and really this Rose necklace from Grogo's Gadgets  is a perfect representation of that story. It's a lovely detailed rose under a glass pendant.  There is a faint shimmer to it and it comes with a hud so the rose can be any color you wish.

Finally I couldn't resist these Byzantine Graduated Earrings from LOGO. They are long and have a presence but still manage to be delicate and are color change. I bought the silver set and there was apparently a problem with the script so the creator apologized and sent a fatpack out to those that received the broken one. I think that is excellent customer service so I am sure I'll be checking out more from this shop in the future.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Freebies from Beast and Beauty's Castles

I'm going to start with 2 freebies I loved from the Beast's Castle.



First is this lovely hair flower from Purangi Designs. It's really detailed and unique. This super cute star necklace is from Lolapop! I love the chunky little star.

Now onto Beauty's Castle sim.



Amazingly there are 2! yes 2 lovely full sets out as freebies. The top one is from $GaNKeD$ and I love how elegant it is especially the necklace. The sweet little set on the bottom is from Star Kindler Designs. It even comes with an adorable little ring.



The top set of earrings are from Cailyn's and come in 6 colors. Of course I'm modeling pink but the other colors are just as pretty. The bottom earrings are from Calamity Hathaway Creations they are in a lovely blue color. I can see them matching quite a few things.



Finally some fun freebies. This lovely brooch is from *Amaranthus* I don't see very many brooches so this is especially nice to have. The bottom ring is from Alaska Metro it's a fun zipper rosette. As I said before I'm always looking for new rings.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Freebies from the Village

Ok now the freebies from the Village sim.  Also can I just say how cute the sims are. They are really nicely decorated without being over decorated and the paths are nice and wide. Just a reminder Jewelry Fair ends Oct 17.



There are some really lovely fall colored earrings from Primagine and some gorgeous sort of vintage feeling drop earrings from Faceted.

I always feel like it's so hard to find cute rings and look here are 2 for FREE (or 1L can't remember). The top one is a cute princess style ring from MONKEE and it comes in 5 colors! The bottom ring is from Maylo Designs and comes with a cute little showing off my ring pose.

One last pair of earrings. I really love these they are from EVICA the tiny glow is so pretty. This fun bracelet is from Ticky Tacky and comes for both arms. I'm a sucker for beads and bracelets and it has plaid what more could you want?

Finally I have this lovely long necklace from Elemental Earth Designs. It comes in 4 colors.

Jewelry Fair 2010- My favorite Freebies from the Forest

So it's jewelry fair time again yay! The fair runs until Oct. 17th and takes up 4 sims.  If you have EVER read this blog you know how much I love jewelry/accessories so I actually am going to be trying to keep up and give you my favorite things from each sim this year.

I'm starting with the freebies because there are some really awesome ones this year.  The theme this year is Beauty and the Beast and I'm starting in the Forest themed sim.



The top pearl earrings and necklace are from Dark Mouse Jewelry and the bottom earrings are from La Forgia.  This is very classic jewelry something you can wear over and over.



These are more whimsical. The top set is from Donna Flora and I think this necklace would be great as a collar on an outfit. The bottom cuff is from Silk & Satyr and the bow is color changeable, two of my favorite things in one item.

I put these two necklace in the more earthy category. The top is a super cute steampunkish necklace from Lazy Places. The bottom one is a simple yet elegant freshwater pearl necklace from Sable Rose Jewelry.

I'm having a hard time writing this post tonight so I'll just keep it short today.

I was trying to make another outfit sometimes I am inspired by one piece and i just can't get anything to work with it. That happened this time,so I decided to start over using these cute pants from Veschi. After I picked those out and found this adorable jacket from DE Designs from awhile back it all fell together.

I feel like this look it would fit in here in California right now. The weather isn't quite fall but the feeling is. That is if I ever put on makeup anymore or could chase twins in heels I would totally wear this.

It's possible I've been watching too much Project Runway but I really like this striped Paige skirt from Whippet & Buck with this beautiful houndstooth top from the Peggy dress by Icing.  The Peggy dress is so gorgeous I have just been wearing it around for weeks haha. Added some lovely jewelry and black tights. And these super cute heels from GOS. They were only 100L on xstreet (or whatever it's called these days) such a  bargain!

My very favorite part of this outfit though is the new Rumor hair from Elikatira YES THAT ELIKA! I am sure I'm very late to the party and that everyone else has blogged her new hair but I can't help it I"m so excited I can't wait to see what she puts out next.

I feel like sometimes the same  muse hits all the desigenrs of sl at the same time. The last couple weeks I have seen such rich deep colors/fabric design. I think people are really ready for fall. I picked out some of my favs from the last few weeks for this outfit. I started with this gorgeous sari skirt from Sn@tch. It comes in lots of colors and took a little adjusting due to my shortness but its so gorgeous. My top is from Pixeldolls, she has some really cute leotard/swimsuits out right now in lovely colors,  I especially love the back on this and I couldn't bear to cover it up.  I needed one more thing though and really do you have an idea the lack of shawls there are in sl? Luckily for me Whippet & Buck released this to with the removable yoke recently. I love this  gold color., it's not one of my usual colors but I just adore how it looks with the other neutrals in the outfit.

When it came to jewelry 2 stores stood out in my mind. I have a  necklace and ring from Paper Couture's new collection and bracelets from Luc. These 2 stores have a similar asthetic both are very chunky and organic and I love them so much!

Now who is going to invite me out dancing? I feel the need to dance around in this.

9-5-10 Oldies But Goodies

I absolutely adore this dress from Icing, I have missed Miko's designs a lot. I'm glad that she is back from her hiatus, hopefully for good. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make an outfit out of it . The color is so perfect and the shading on the sculpted skirt. I put a jacket and a shirt over the to of the dress to transform it a little and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Another of my favorite designers that is back is Lucas Lameth! He has released 3 new sets all Sea themed and just like always they have such an organic chunky elegant feel. Somehow he always manages to make all those things mesh together. My bangle and earrings are from his new sets and I am sure the necklaces will turn up in an outfit soon.

I'm always so happy to see my favorite designers coming back so I'm extra happy today!
